Street games are fun games because you get to perform all sorts of different dangerous tricks with your car without getting injured. You will find online street racing games like Tokyo Xtreme Racer, Street Racers Syndicate and Speed Devils that will provide you with countless hours of fun.
One of the fun games that you can play is Speed Devils, a very unusual game on the list of online street games.
The street racing part is no different from other games: you get challenged by a rival or you challenge a rival yourself, you race and the winner takes the money. On top of this Speed Devils allows players to challenge each other to accomplish different feats while they are driving and place bets on whether or not a player can accomplish his feat.
The money that a player earns from winning street races and bets can be used to buy a new car or to upgrade the current one. An interesting feature of Speed Devils consists of the obstacles that the game throws in front of the races, like rolling boulders and sometimes even dinosaurs. The action of the game takes place in exotic locations like Aspen, Nevada, Mexico and even Hollywood.
Other online street games like Street Racers Syndicate are a bit more serious: there are no dinosaurs falling from the sky and you need to drive carefully in order to make sure that you win the game. This game features 50 licensed cars with models from Subaru, Toyota, Lexus and Mitsubishi and was released for PS2, Xbox, PC and Nintendo GameCube.
In order to win the game you must do more than just win a street race. The money you earn racing are more important in deciding the winner of the game and you will lose money if you need to repair your car after every race. Street Racers Syndicate is one of the few online games that actually encourages safe driving.
Your search for free games will also lead you to Tokyo Xtreme Racer, a street racing game developed by Sega Dreamcast and released in 1999. Tokyo Xtreme Racer is very different from other games and was successful mostly in North America. Due to its North American success a few sequels were developed: Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2, Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero and Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 in this chronological order. The goal of the player is to challenge drivers from the streets of Tokyo, win a street race and make enough money to upgrade his car or to buy a new, better one. The more opponents you defeat the better the car you can afford to buy. Other street racing games like Midnight Club move the action during the night and take you in the middle of the illegal racing world.
