How to Use Ares to Load your iPod Full of Good Music
Learning to use today's technology isn't always easy, but if you've got an iPod, you'll be happy to know that you can fill it full of music off of the Ares download network with ease and efficiency. Here's the 411 on how to find music on Ares, download and transfer it to your iPod so you have sweet, new music to listen to on the double.
How to Find and Download Music on Ares to Put on Your iPod
Finding music to put on your iPod from the Ares download network is easy. All you have to do is open the Ares program and click the "Search" bar. Type in the name of the song, album or artist you are looking for, select the "Audio" button to narrow your results, and click "Search."
A lengthy list of search results will pop up. You may see the files you are looking for listed more than once. Select the file which has the most users (so it downloads faster) and is in the proper format (MP3 works fine for iPods.) Highlight the files you want and hit "Download."
How to Preview Downloads and Transfer Ares Music to Your iPod
While your files are downloading, you can preview the music in the "Transfers" tab to make sure it's the right item. If it is not, simply stop the download and search again. If you've found what you're looking for, it will be listed in your Ares library once the download is complete.
Transferring your new downloads to your iPod is easy. Simply locate the file in your Ares library and right-click on it once you've found it. Select "Open File Location." This will bring up the window where your Ares downloads are stored.
Now, open your iTunes program.
Select the files you want to transfer to iTunes from the Ares window and simply drag and drop them into your iTunes library.
How to Sync Your iPod and Walk Away with a Full Library of Ares Music
Now you're on the last step. You've found your music, downloaded it to your computer and transferred it into iTunes. The only thing left to do is to connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cable with which it came.
When your iPod is connected, it will show up on the left-hand side of the iTunes screen. Depending on how you have set up your iTunes program, it may automatically sync with your iPod as soon as it is connected. Your iPod will automatically convert most music file types into the format it uses.
